FB imageOrewa Boulevard of Buskers, from 11am

2016 brings the 3rd Boulevard of Buskers, which has become a much sought after fixture on the Orewa events calendar. This year we are proud to introduce international performers Zaktakular and Mantega. Of course we also have the return of Sports Suzie due to some heavy demand for her slapstick comedy. Collectively, the performers will be spontaneous, visually enticing and busting with the unexpected.
The 2016 event takes place over Waitangi Weekend, providing 3 days of stunts, juggling, hi-cycle-antics, aerial work and even a ‘give it a go’ opportunity. Bring a beanbag or a deck chair and settle in for the duration !
Sunday evening brings a showcase event with all performers showcasing their skills in quick fire succession. This evenings’ show will be held on the (closed) carpark in the Muldoons block of cafes and bars, right in the heart of Orewa.

– join the FREE circus skills workshop at the conclusion of the festival (Mon 8th 5.30pm, Moana Reserve), and have a go at the skills you have seen over the weekend.
How Much Does It Cost? – Street performing is the most honest form of entertainment. It allows you to watch the show and then decide how much you think the laughter and amazement is worth. How much you pay is up to you – performers like the money that jingles but they like the money that folds even more ! Whatever you choose to pay, you will always get more than you money’s worth.
What To Bring? – The performances happen on the streets and reserves. Bring something to sit on, a hat, suntan lotion and if the sky looks grey – bring an umbrella as (within reason) the performances happen rain or shine.
