It promises to be an entertaining show, showcasing a high standard of Student Performance from Dance, Drama and Music.  .  Tickets are $20 for adults and $16 concession (students/Senior Citizens/groups of 10+) and can be booked through Orewa College accounts office 09 427 3833 from 20th July and from Centrestage Theatre from 6th July.

Model Warships on Display, Orewa Library, 9am - 5pm

Graham Beeson is a well-known NZ warship modeller and author. From plans, he built four ships whose original namesakes were in the Battle of the River Plate.

Five of Graham's model warships will be on display and he will be on hand to talk about his new pictorial book about the Admiral Graf Spee. The ships on display are: HMS New Zealand, HMS Gambia, HMS Ajax, and HMS Exeter.

The Hibiscus Coast Orchid Society meets on the second Sunday of every month (except January) with meetings starting at 1.30 pm and usually lasting a couple of hours.

The meetings always include a guest speaker, raffles and a cuppa, along with the usual club business. Visitors are always welcome. at the Orewa Sea Scout Hall (north end of the beach) from 7pm till 9 (tea break in the middle). Non auditioned, open to shower warblers and closet crooners or anyone who wants to make noise. No music theory needed, and contrary to popular belief, most people CAN sing!!  You will be singing in harmony in minutes. The health benefits are huge, wonderful community, come and try us out. We are different from a traditional choir and sing world, gospel, folk, pop and trad. Let's Play Orewa is a fun community playgroup, in Orewa, for children, aged 2 to 6 years old, and their parents/caregivers to enjoy together.

Fortnightly on Fridays, during the school terms, 10:00am to 11:30am, at the Hibiscus Coast Community House, 216 HBC Highway (the old corner site), Orewa. April 24, May 8, 22, June 5, 19, July 3 
Cost: a gold coin donation.

At Let's Play Orewa we encourage young children (3 to 5 years old) to explore process art, music + movement and shared stories alongside interested parents/caregivers who actively engage in the programme while interacting with their children.

We also enjoy a morning tea together.
The limit is 10 children, each accompanied by an adult.
